Some people deny their birthdays. Me, I relish each one.
Not long ago I was shopping for some stuff and struck up a conversation with a young lady on the other side of the counter. I don’t remember how the chat turned to age, but she quoted her grandfather as saying: “Growing old is mandatory, feeling old is optional.”
